The Lake Park Raiders Rode Again!

The Lake Park Raiders Rode Again!

They rode into the city of Niles and wreaked havoc on a wall of innocent 8 X 11 inch copy paper and a slew of over-sized shotgun targets! A riotous time was had by all!

Thursday, at the Lake Park Raiders Work Shirker Open Class Indoor CAS Match, we “test-drove” the Slow Mo sweep invented by the dapper Veddy Badman. The sweep proved to do exactly what it was meant to; to make one a better, morally straight, expert, handsomely-dressed shooter. And it really works! The proof is in the pudding!

We also shot Wyatt N. Erdy’s aka Cleveland Brown’s El Zorro sweep, the Brunswick Kid’s tic tack toe sweep, the infamous Double Cross sweep, and of course, the Krazy Thom sweep. That’s crazy with a capital “K”!

Nine shooters came out for the Last Thursday of the Month Work Shirker shoot and everyone finished in the top ten. No sugars in this wild bunch!

Sixgun Seamus came in first place followed by Swiftwater in second place. Veddy Badman came in third, Hagen was forth, and this sounds crazy but Krazy Thom came in fifth. Congratulations to everybody!

Of the nine shooters that came out, we averaged a total of 6.11 misses, so of us nine shooters, we had 55 misses between all of us. I think I shot normally! I had my normal 6 misses and almost came in last! Bidness as usual! I’m going back to shooting gunfighter. I can have all the gunfighter fun and still have the same amount of misses! Works for me! Ha!

We also counted shotgun target misses at this match so that may be why we had a high number of misses per person. We started counting misses with the shotgun ‘cause some folks were counting the misses and some weren’t and it wasn’t fair so we decided to count’em from now on. We just have to use bigger shotgun targets.

The number of misses may be directly related to how many Clean Match Poker Chips we give out! Is that possible? Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion!
