Nov. 30, 2017 Lake Park Raiders!

"Looks like that hangin' copy paper got the best of you Lake Park Raiders!"

"Better luck next time!"

Angel Eyes sez: "How's the misses? Heh, heh!"

Thursday Work Shirkin’ Indoor CAS!

Work Shirkin’ at the Western Reserve Fish and Game Association in the busy little town of Niles, Ohio.

Christmas is in the air, Christmas is on the air-waves, and Christmas traffic is backed up all the way to Route 5! “It’s Christmas-time in the city! Ding-a-ling!”

Last Thursday, a serious little posse of ambitious hombres assembled to shoot a post-Thanksgiving season cowboy action match consisting of five fun-filled stages of fat-free frontier fantasy! “Yay!.... Pilgrim!”

We shot the Krazy Thom sweep and the Slow Mo sweep, the disastrous Double Cross sweep, Erdy Rose’s Dead Man’s Hand sweep disguised as the Turkey sweep, and the Joe Z. Whale sweep complete with a stunning blue paper whale cut-out and Billy the Squid!

Cheatin’ Charlie won first place! Congratulations, Charlie!

Sixgun Seamus won second place and Duelin’ Diehl came in third.

Fourth place went to Krazy Thom with the “silent H” and fifth place went to Hagen this time. No smoke, no fire today, I hope he’s feelin’ ok!

Laramie Leadslinger got sixth place and Ol’ Slow Mo came in Lucky Seventh! Lucky seventh with only 15 misses! Yikes! We gotta work on that!

The Brunswick Kid came in eighth place with the least number of misses. He missed his clean match by only one! AwwwSh**t!!

Congratulations to all our winners and participants!

I want to thank everyone for coming out to shoot with us Thursday. Thanks for helping with set-up, take-down, and all the posse duties.

Thanks to my lovely wife Barb for keeping score with the lap-top and trying to get us into the 21st Century!

Special thanks to Hagen, Ohio Silver, and the Brunswick Kid for arriving early and installing new cardboard. This is always a big help.

Please keep all our friends who couldn’t attend in your thoughts and prayers. Many friends are facing challenging times right now and I hope they know we’re always thinking of them.

Our next match will be Saturday December 9, 2017.

Look for all your favorite Holiday Season scenarios such as the Santa Claus in the Sleigh with All His Reindeer sweep, Lenny’s Christmas Tree, the Magic Candy Cane sweep, the Sneak Down the Stairs sweep, and of course, the famous Guy Lombardo sweep! “Best sweep this side of sweep heaven!”

I’ll ask Santa for larger sheets of paper but they won’t be here ‘til Christmas! HoHoHo!

I hope to see you soon.

All my best,

Slow Mo Dern

Cowboy Action Shooting is a wonderful sport and these activities promote honesty, moral correctness, a love of history, and it’s a heck of a lot of fun!”

- David Chicoine

“Think about it, where else could you go and dress up like a cowboy or western movie actor, talk like you were from Wyoming, even though you grew up in Akron, enjoy your favorite sport (shooting!) and play the ham all at the same time without the slightest chance of being ridiculed?”

Go out there and try it, you’ll be glad you did!
