"Here's to the sunny slopes" of the year gone by.
It wasn't all sunny but it's gone and a new year's just around the corner!
"What do you call an old snowman?"
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas
and a
Very Happy Holiday Season!
This year’s almost over and 2018 is just around the corner and I’m hoping it’s going to be another good one.
I would like to thank everyone for putting in your time, effort, resources, knowledge, good ideas, bad ideas, donations, supplies, and expertise to help us put on our bi-monthly cowboy matches this past year. Thank you for your tolerance and sense of humor.
I had a good time writing stages and scenarios and thanks to everyone for your suggestions and help. All the sweeps, stages, and scenarios have all been done before; I just borrow them and adapt them to our cowboy range.
Thanks to all the Shenango River Rats for all the help.
There is so much that people do to help, it’s almost impossible to mention everything. It ranges from painting targets, to raking leaves, to helping a new shooter through their first match without any mishaps and so much more.
I’m hoping 2018 is a good year, no rain cancellations, excellent health for everybody, and no broken guns! I hope that’s not too much to ask! Ha!
So, “here’s to the sunny slopes” of the year yet to come!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Sincerely,
Slow Mo Dern

Cowboy Action Shooting is a wonderful sport and these activities promote honesty, moral correctness, a love of history, and it’s a heck of a lot of fun!”
- David Chicoine
“Think about it, where else could you go and dress up like a cowboy or western movie actor, talk like you were from Wyoming, even though you grew up in Akron, enjoy your favorite sport (shooting!) and play the ham all at the same time without the slightest chance of being ridiculed?”
Go out there and try it, you’ll be glad you did!
