Work Shirker Open Class CAS Match

It seems as if it happened a long time ago but this is how I remember it.

It was a rainy Thursday morning and I arrived at the Western Reserve Fish and Game Club early to help set up our CAS match and I found Joe had already put up new cardboard and he and Rattlesnake Ruby had just carried out some tables.

The donuts were good-lookin’ and the coffee was fresh and hot and Hagen and I set out 5 fun-filled scenarios of pre-Easter cowboy match merriment and jollification complete with big blue and yellow paper Easter bunnies, a prairie python, and my own personal Easter basket! HaHaHa!

We did the current rendition of the Krazy Thom set-up, broke all Johnny Ringo’s Easter eggs, saved the blue Easter Bunny from a hungry prairie python, shot the Easter egg bonus from atop a bunny’s big yellow head, and did the fast-shootin’ Big Time Dump scenario. Whew! Some fast and furious frontier fantasy frenzy, right there!

After all the smoke cleared and the dust settled we found that Sixgun Seamus had come in first place, Krazy Thom was second, and Hagen came in third.

Slow Mo came in fourth place, Shenango Joe was fifth, and Muzzle Flash finished sixth.

Rattlesnake Ruby came in at the lucky number seven spot with Heartless Hanna finishing strong in eighth place!

Congratulations to all our winners and participants! We all finished in the top ten!

Big cowboy thanks go to all the folks who came out to sling some lead with us and thanks to everyone for helping and doing; we couldn’t have a match without you.

We hope everyone had a nice, happy, and safe Easter holiday weekend. This year April Fool’s Day fell on the same day as Easter Sunday, no foolin’!

Our next indoor match is Saturday April 14, 2018.

Yes, we’re still indoors – no rain, no mud, no clouds, no snow – just widely scattered LED light with an occasional joke thrown in to lighten it up even more!

We’re going to blast Curly Bill’s daisies, do the Brunswick Kid’s Tee-Pee sweep, try out Missouri Jake’s Missouri Jake sweep, stand down some Bad Hombres, and do the Krazy Thom double tap! Sound like fun? You betcha! Hope to see you there!
