"We're gonna get the money and buy our own trailer!"
"How we gonna haul him around if we sell him?"

The Shenango River Rats are already planning for next year!
The Last CAS Match at Brookfield with the
Shenango River Rats!
Thursday October 25, 2018
It was a good day for an Open Class Cowboy match down in Yankee Flats!
The temperature was chilly but it we were high an’ dry…er, low an’ dry down in the flats!
Shenango Joe brought his Buddy Heater for us folks who needed warming up between posse chores. Thanks, Joe!
Fifteen participants came out to ring some steel at our last outdoor match of the season and the excitement was intense when we weren’t trying to get our trigger fingers warmed up!
Krazy Thom got first place with Swiftwater Jack coming in strong at second place.
Our good friend, Sixgun Seamus, was our third place winner and won his very own brown AwwSh**t ribbon to take home!
T.J. Lawdog came in fourth place followed by Mo! (We haven’t had that calculator looked at yet!)
Sixth place went to Duelin’ Diehl, our equipment operator and expert driver! Thanks, DD!
Hagen took the lucky seventh spot! Don’t forget the tickets on the way home!
Our friend, Utah Scout, won the eighth place position! Always good to see him come out to ring some steel with us in the woods!
T.J. Lawdog’s son, first time cowboy shooter Deputy Lawdog, finished in ninth place and got first place in the Wrangler category! Congratulations!
The Brunswick Kid placed tenth in Thursday’s match and won himself another good-lookin’ brown ribbon to take home! AwwSh**t, Kid!
You shoulda used my Bisley for that stage! It never misses!
Eleventh place went to Shenango Joe followed by Muzzle Flash coming in twelfth.
Our long-time shooting partner, good-natured Rattlesnake Ruby, won the “lucky thirteenth” spot again! Don’t forget the tickets!
Another good friend of ours, Brush Rabbit, finished in the fourteenth place and saving the very best for last…
Fifteenth place went to a chilly Heartless Hanna! She’s an asset to anybody’s posse but I think she got a little chilled this day! I hope she’s thawed out by now!
Congratulations to all our winners and participants! We had a great time!
Honorable mention goes to first time cowboy and black powder shooter, El Kaboom! aka Mailman Mike!
He took the plunge and shot the first stage with Hagen’s black powder guns and with a little help and a lotta guts, he managed to finish the stage in good shape! I know he won’t soon forget that experience! YeeHawww!
After the match it was time for ribbons, door prizes, coffee, Grandma Barb’s brownies, and Hagen’s gourmet soup sensation! It was the best thing to warm us up after a cold day at the cowboy range! Thanks, amigo!
Thanks to everybody for coming out to join us in our last match of the year. It’s hard to believe our outdoor season has ended already!
A big thank you to everyone for helping with driving, registration, scoring, set-up, take-down, posse duties, donuts, water, and all the other big and small things it takes for a match.
Special thanks to Hagen for bringing in the soup! It was delicious!
Special thanks to Brush Rabbit for her prize donations! Very thoughtful!
Thanks to Ohio Silver for dropping by to help spot and say hi! Very neighborly!
Please keep our friends who couldn’t attend in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your kindness!
