River Rats Rode Again! CAS at Brookfield! Saturday June 8, 2019!

What's all this stuff?

"Looks like 'sixgun world' to me!"

Looks like Josey Wales meets Billy the Kid meets Matt Dillon!

CAS at Brookfield with the Shenango River Rats!

Saturday June 8, 2019

YeeHaww! What a beautiful day it was!

The sun was out, there was a cool breeze, and no rain! Not even a puddle! It was beauteous!

Eighteen seasoned CAS aficionados came to ring some steel and partake in the 5 stage match down in the sleepy little cowboy town of Yankee Flats.

Sixgun Seamus was our first place winner! Congratulations, Seamus!

Clean shooting Willy Goodnews was second place and Swiftwater Jack, another clean shooter, finished third.

Fourth place went to good friend, Lenny James and fifth place went to Pennsylvania’s Lawless Lorin, another good friend!

Coming in sixth was Krazy Thom. That’s just Krazy!

The lucky seventh spot was won by Rowdy Red Tailor.

Laramie Leadslinger finished in eighth place followed by Hagen finishing in the ninth spot.

Tenth place went to tractor master Duelin’ Diehl followed by Slow Mo Dern in the lucky eleventh place. It’s time to buy lottery tickets with that number!

New York’s own Low Plains Drifter took twelfth place.

Flat Iron Mike, the man of steel, finished lucky thirteenth!

Brookfield’s Shenango Joe was our fourteenth place winner and Cayenne Kay came in strong at number 15!

Sweet sixteenth place went to super nice guy, El Dorado Jim!

Rattlesnake Ruby, another nice guy, finished in the seventeenth spot followed by Deadwood Dave! We always save the best for last!

Clean shooters were Willy Goodnews and Swiftwater Jack!

AwwSh**t recognition went to Sixgun Seamus, Duelin’ Diehl, El Dorado Jim, and Rattlesnake Ruby!

Congratulations to all our winners and participants! Say-lute!

Special thanks go to our good friend Curly Dex for helping us at the unloading table. Thanks a bunch, Curly!

Another special thank you goes to Missouri Jake, who came in to help with sign-up and scoring, tractor operations, and lent us the use of his trailer so we could make that geographical transition to the range! Thanks, Jake!

We started the match from stage 4, the hotel stage, and worked our way uphill to end on stage 1, the Fort, where we entertained ourselves ringing steel and busting those clay birds that reside there!

Everything went smooth as silk until stage 2! AwwSh**t! Oh, well! Can’t have everything!

Let’s go eat lunch!

Kat brought some tasty pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw, and potato chips! Thanks, Kat! A good lunch was had by all!

Our next match is our Thursday Work Shirker Open Class CAS Match!

It will take place on Thursday June 27, 2019!

The last Thursday of the month!

Spectators and visitors are always welcome so come out and watch the fun! Don’t forget your safety glasses and hearing protection!

We’ll shoot another 5 fun-filled stages of merriment and jollification!

We hope to see you there!
