Brookfield CAS! Thursday Work-Shirker on June 27, 2019!

"Hey, what's this dude doin'?"

"Well, he's either makin' bullets or makin' coffee..."

"I think he's tryin' to cook his horse starting with the front feet...!"

CAS at Brookfield! Thank you.

Thursday Work Shirker Open Class CAS Match!

June 27, 2019

Thank you to all who came to ring the steel under the trees at the Brookfield Conservation Club with the Shenango River Rats!

Fifteen work-shirkers in all and a good time was had by all!

It was a hot one but we had plenty of shade and cold water!

A cool breeze goin’ fast was what was really needed! Hahaha!

The white targets did a world of help! Praise be for white targets!

First place went to clean shootin’ Swiftwater Jack! Congratulations!

Krazy Thom came in second and third place went to N.A. Custer!

Willy Goodnews was fourth and Sixgun Seamus was fifth.

Sixth place went to Hagen and the lucky seventh spot went to Cheatin’ Charlie.

Duelin’ Diehl finished in eighth place while Flat Iron Mike came in ninth.

Tenth place went to Rattlesnake Ruby and Prairie Dawg came in at lucky eleventh.

Slow Mo was twelfth and fast-draw Willie Miss came in at lucky thirteen.

Pennsylvania’s Speedy Edie won the fourteenth place and coming in strong at fifteen was Mo’s grandson, Slugless Douglas!

Swiftwater Jack was our only clean shootist and AwwSh**t recognition went to Duelin’ Diehl, Willy Goodnews, and Hagen.

Congratulations to all our winners and contestants!

Big thanks to Missouri Jake for helping with sign-up, keeping score, and bringing his trailer! Thanks, Jake!

Thanks to everyone for all your help making the match run as smooth as a well-worn silk bandana! Nobody’s that lucky!

Our next match will be on Saturday July 13, 2019!

Look for 5 more fun-filled stages of western wackiness!

We’re gonna have more fun with flyin’ birds at the fort and we’ll save Granny Hawkins from a bad hombre kidnapper! Somebody fetch the sheriff!

We’ll be triple tappin’ at Bert’s saloon and exterminatin’ rats, double tappin’ at the Cactus Corral and knockin’ down plates, sharp-shootin’ at the cabbage patch and witnessing the return of the Krazy Thom sweep! That sounds exciting!

If it rains; we’ll have the match under the roof at the 25 yard range!

Visitors and spectators are always welcome but you must have safety or shooting glasses and hearing protection! Safety first!

Thank you for your support!

We wish everyone a safe and Happy Fourth of July!

Somebody fetch the firecrackers!

All our best,

Slow Mo Dern

and the Shenango River Rats!
