Lake Park Raiders are back in Town! Saturday Nov. 9, 2019

"You give out very little sugar! I'll need more if that's Mo's coffee!

If I drink that, I will be severely diminished! You drink it!"

"I do not drink coffee. I am only fourteen..."

Rooster says, "Awww, he'd rather drink from a muddy hoof print than drink Mo's coffee! Haw!"

"I know! Let's catch Thom Chaney an' make him drink it!"

Yikes! That sounds like cruel and unusual punishment!

CAS in Niles, Ohio with the Lake Park Raiders!

Saturday November 9, 2019

Thank you to everyone for coming out to Niles, Ohio to join us in our first CAS match of the indoor season.

After the outdoor season at Brookfield, the Shenango River Rats move south to Niles, Ohio to become the Lake Park Raiders for the next 6 months.

We shoot at the Western Reserve Fish and Game Club.

Thank you for your support and thank you for your patience!

It’s always a challenge to go from outdoors with steel targets to indoors with paper and cardboard but we’ll get back in the groove after a few matches!

Willy Goodnews was our first place winner on Saturday. Congratulations, Willy!

We all know he did so well because he didn’t have any of that thick smoke blocking his view of the targets, bein’ indoors an’all! Hahahah!

Hagen got second place. He was also able to see all the targets! He was clean too! The only clean shooter, I think.

Mo came in third, ain’t that a wonderment! Sounds like a math goof! Hey, Jake!

Fourth place went to Krazy Thom followed by Turkey Flats Jack coming in fifth!

Iron Mike better known as Flat Iron Mike the Duelist, won the sixth place spot. He’s got a hankering to start doing it Lawman Style!

Calico Big Jack finished in the Lucky Number 7 spot! It’s a real pleasure having him shoot with us and be part of the posse!

Shenango Joe finished eighth followed by Comacho coming in ninth.

Duelin’ Diehl, best Diehl in town, was our tenth place contestant. It’s good to see him up and around and having fun.

Heartless Hanna took eleventh place! Congratulations, Heartless! It’s always a pleasure when Heartless Hanna’s on the posse!

The always dapper Boony “Wild Bunch” Young won twelfth place. He was shootin’ a Wild Bunch Cowboy Hybrid style this time!

Finishing strong in the lucky thirteenth slot was good friend Rattlesnake Ruby! We always save the best for last!

Special thanks to everyone who came in to help and thanks to Joe for putting up a new batch of cardboard for us to shoot up.

Thanks also for all the help putting everything away at the end of the match.

Our next match will be on Saturday December 14, 2019, weather permitting.

We are not shooting on Thanksgiving Day this year because we are going to spend time at home with our families. We will resume shooting in December.

Please remember our Veterans and their commitment to America. I know I don’t have to remind you if you’re reading this, but they have and do a big job that goes unnoticed much of the time. Thank you.

Remember also, that we are always open to suggestions and the door is always open. New ideas as to scenarios and sweeps will always be considered and appreciated. Simple is good applies.

New ideas are what is needed to keep things fresh. We don’t want our matches to get boring or stale; we want’em somewhat exciting!

We have many friends who are not joining us at present due to illness, injury, and other challenges life has thrown at them.

Please keep our friends in your thoughts. I want them to know we’re thinking of them and they’re not forgotten.

Visitors and spectators are always welcome at our matches but you must have safety or shooting glasses and hearing protection. We like to be safe indoors as well as outdoors.

So come join the Lake Park Raiders on

Saturday December 14, 2019

as we shoot up 5 more fun-filled scenarios of western wackiness with a little organized chaos thrown in for free! A good time might be had!

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

See you soon and my best to you,

Slow Mo Dern and the Lake Park Raiders
