"Hey! There sure are a lotta rules in this handbook!"
"What's it say about 'shootin' like the Lone Ranger'?"
"Where'd you get that cool hat?"
Mo sez: "Is that the handbook or the letter from the elk?"
"It's the handbook! The letter from the elk got cut in half, 'member?"
Indoor CAS in Niles, Ohio!
Thursday Work Shirker Open Class CAS Match on
January 30, 2020!
Howdy, friends!
The Thursday posse was small but it was a work day for most folks and there was a Saturday match at Tusco so I’m thinking that some folks wanted to shoot outside at Tusco’s February outdoor match and they couldn’t attend both.
We shot the current rendition of the Krazy Thom sweep. Get well soon, Thom! We’ll see you when you return!
We also did the Abilene sweep, the Slow Mo Gunfighter sweep, the Plinkerton Stagecoach Ambush round-count, and the big Double Cross!
Big thanks to the Brunswick Kid for coming in to help lay out the stages, run the timer, and apply the stickers!
Thanks to everybody for all your help! We had a more harmonious outcome as a result!
All our contestants at the Niles match were guaranteed a spot in the top ten!
Johnny Shiloh was our first place winner! Congratulations, Johnny!
Second place went to New York’s Low Plains Drifter.
Slow Mo Dern sneaked into the third place spot! Now, that don’t make no sense! Haw! Go figure!
Fourth place went to Hagen and fifth place went to Swiftwater Jack.
Shenango Joe finished in sixth place followed by Bobtown Cooter in the lucky seventh place! Yeehaww!
Eighth place went to Duelin’ Diehl! I’m happy he could join us today!
Rattlesnake Ruby finished strong at ninth place.
We always save the best for last. New posse member Joe Capp formerly known as “Hey Hugh!” was our tenth place
winner.
There were no clean shooter awards today but Swiftwater Jack came close ….
AwwSh**t recognition goes to Johnny Shiloh, Hagen, and Duelin’ Diehl.
Congratulations to all our winners and contestants. Salute!
Slow Mo won a door prize! It was my lucky day!
Thanks to everybody for bringing in cowboy items to sell. They can usually be found in the donut room.
Thanks a bunch to everyone for making Joe Capp feel welcome, comfortable, and right at home. He did very well.
I hope no one is sick at home with the kung flu coronavirus… this is bad.
Prayers and thoughts for all our absent friends who didn’t attend.
Our next CAS match is on Saturday February 8, 2020, that’s in a week. Watch for the flyer.
We’re doing the Zig-Zag Krazy Thom sweep, the Guy Lombardo meets Sesame Street sweep, and the Boonie/Hagen Unreal Circular sweep! How ‘bout that!? Haw!
We’ll also do Wyatt N. Erdy’s Dead Man’s Hand sweep and the Valentine’s Day sweep that has yet to be invented! Haw! Haw!
That’s Saturday February 8, 2020! I hope to see you there!
Helpful hints:
No shooting like the Lone Ranger! It breaks the 170 rule!
Point the gun low at the wall downrange and raise the gun up to the target. That’s how to shoot. Nuff said.

Hint number 2:
Do -- do the cross-draw dance; it was invented for a reason. It will save you a MDQ. It is illegal to sweep anyone with a loaded gun!
Look up Long Hunter’s cross-draw video on YouTube if you need to. Thanks.
